The All Progressives Congress APC has announced a new timetable for its nationwide congresses and national convention, alongside revised fees for party offices at ward, local government, state, zonal and national levels.
In a document titled Adjusted APC 2026 Schedule of Nationwide Congresses National Convention and Related Activities, released from the party’s National Secretariat at Buhari House in Abuja, the ruling party said the rescheduling was in line with provisions of its constitution guiding internal elections and party administration.
According to the APC, the exercise is aimed at electing new party officials across wards, local governments, states, zones and the national leadership structure.
For grassroots activities, membership e registration is scheduled to run from January 31 to February 8, 2026, while formal notice of ward and local government congresses will be issued to state and FCT chapters on February 2.
The party said sale and submission of forms for ward and LGA positions will take place between February 4 and February 9, followed by the inauguration of screening and appeals committees on February 10. Screening of aspirants will hold from February 11 to 12.
Ward congresses are fixed for February 18, while local government congresses, including the election of delegates to the national convention, will hold on February 21. Appeals from the LGA congresses are expected on February 23.
At the state level, purchase of forms for state executive positions will run from February 22 to 25, with state congresses scheduled for March 3.
For zonal and national activities, forms for zonal congresses and the national convention will be sold and submitted between March 12 and March 16. Zonal congresses across the six geopolitical zones will take place on March 25.
The party listed zonal venues as Ibadan for the South West, Enugu for the South East, Rivers or Cross River for the South South, Kaduna for the North West, Gombe or Bauchi for the North East, and Nasarawa for the North Central.
The APC National Convention is fixed for March 27 and 28, 2026.
Alongside the timetable, the party released a detailed breakdown of fees for expression of interest and nomination forms.
At the ward level, expression of interest costs five thousand naira, while nomination forms for ward chairman are twenty thousand naira. Ward secretary and treasurer attract fifteen thousand naira each, with the same amount for vice chairmen and other officers.
For local government positions, expression of interest is pegged at ten thousand naira. Nomination forms for LGA chairman cost one hundred thousand naira, while other LGA offices attract fifty thousand naira each.
At the state level, aspirants will pay fifty thousand naira for expression of interest. Nomination forms for state chairman are fixed at one million naira, while vice chairman, secretary and treasurer cost five hundred thousand naira each.
For zonal offices, expression of interest is one hundred thousand naira, while nomination forms for zonal officers cost two hundred thousand naira.
At the national level, expression of interest forms cost one hundred thousand naira across all positions. Nomination forms for national chairman are fixed at ten million naira, while deputy national chairmen north and south, as well as the national secretary, will cost seven point five million naira.
The party also announced concessions for female aspirants, youths and persons living with disabilities, who are required to pay only the expression of interest fee and fifty percent of the prescribed nomination fees for any position.
The APC said the adjusted schedule is designed to ensure a smooth, transparent and orderly process leading to the emergence of new party leadership ahead of the 2026 national convention.
