Wike Can Join APC, But Must Follow Proper Procedures — Prince Tonye -Cole

According To Our Reporter, Prince Tonye Cole, Sahara Energy co-founder and former APC governorship candidate in Rivers State, has addressed the ongoing political tensions within the party, particularly regarding former Governor Nyesom Wike’s potential defection.

In an interview on TVC News, Cole emphasized that while “nobody is stopping him from joining the APC,” any such move must occur on a “recognized footing,” respecting the party’s legal and institutional frameworks.

Cole warned against bypassing court rulings or party rules, saying that factionalism and attempts to control party structures for personal interests have hindered governance in Rivers State.

Reiterating his independence, he called for dialogue grounded in legality and principle to restore party unity and strengthen APC’s credibility.

He stressed that for APC to achieve stability and good governance in Rivers State, all decisions—including Wike’s possible entry—must follow proper procedures to protect the party’s integrity.
