I am just a young blood who genuinely loves his nation and his people.
I am Ìkálẹ̀, from one of the strongholds of Yorùbáland regions that have historically resisted domination, forced ideology, and cultural erasure. I stand firmly against Fulani political ideology and religious domination, and against the agenda of Islamization and Fulanization of Yorùbáland.
I was raised to love my land, my ancestors, the religion of my forebears, and the cultural practices of my progenitors. Unfortunately, this alone has made me a target of hatred.
The reasons people hate me are many, but they mostly revolve around religion, tribalism, talent exposure, and my refusal to be intimidated by any force.
I am from Òde Ìrẹ̀lẹ̀, a town long believed to originate from Ugbo, the children of Obamakin Osàngàngàn, from present-day Ilé-Ifẹ̀. I do not deny that I am not Ibáríbá, Oyo, or Òkè-Ògùn by immediate lineage but they are my brothers nonetheless. We are Yorùbá by tribe, even if historically we were once known as Ọmọ Òótú Òjírè before political mergers.
1. Hatred Because I Am an ONÍṢÈṢE
This is not new, and it is not my fault.
Religious intolerance is loudly preached in certain religious books, churches, and mosques. Pastors and Imams openly teach hatred toward indigenous worshippers every Sunday and Friday.
Statements like:
“Oluwa bawa pana Adebọ̀rẹ́”
“Oluwa bawa ba Ogun Èṣù wí”
“Oluwa yà mi yà Èṣù”
These are some common expressions of hostility toward Oníṣèṣè people.
Many of these people have never met me, do not know who I am, and have no idea what I practice. Yet, they already believe I must abandon my ways and join theirs. Some “pray” for me in comment sections, saying I need Jesus, while others say “May Allah guide him to Islam.”
This is one of the clearest reasons I am hated simply for being Oníṣèṣè.
2. Hatred Based on Tribalism
My source is Ilé-Ifẹ̀, yet some people especially from certain parts of Oyo reject this truth. These are not genuine Yorùbá patriots, but Fulani elements hiding among us, using Islam as a tool for divide and rule.
They only support voices of hatred voices that attack peace, humanity, and against Olórí Aládé Gbogbo (OJAJA II). Their aim is to set kings against kings and destabilize Yorùbáland.
Some even label me “ọ̀tá Aláàfin” because I refuse to join any agenda that seeks to destroy Yorùbá unity.
What pains me most is that even some Oníṣèṣè people choose tribalism over truth.
Months ago, I publicly asked Oníṣèṣè leaders in the Oyo axis to tell us what Ifá truly says about the Aláàfin and Ooni of Ife, Unfortunately Their response was always the same:
“A real Oníṣèṣè does not interfere in kingship matters, politics, leadership, or power.”
I reject that position. To me, that is not tradition it is cowardice and hypocrisy. Yorùbá ethics were never about silence in the face of falsehood. This is something I will never be part of.
3. Hatred Because I Confront Lies Publicly
Some people hate me because I am too confrontational with lies and deceit.
They believe religious matters should never be discussed publicly, analyzed, or questioned except when it concerns Oníṣèṣè.
Everyone is free to practice and preach their religion openly :
except the Oníṣèṣè 😆🤣😂😹
Oníṣèṣè are expected to quietly accept conversion, insults, and condemnation. We are told it is wrong for us to speak publicly, give opinions, or challenge religious narratives while others freely attack Ìṣẹ̀ṣe without consequence.
In Nigeria, only the Oníṣèṣè are expected to remain silent.
4. Hatred Because of My Talent, Charisma, and Exposure
Yes this also makes them uncomfortable.
Posts can be deleted.
Videos can be taken down.
But music lives in the soul forever.
I am talented to the core, and the world knows it. My talent is not just resistance it is excellence. My message, when placed in melody, travels farther than anything they can sweep under the table.
That is why they hate me deeply.
Because my voice cannot be erased.
This is why people hate me.
Not because I am evil but because I refuse to bow, refuse to lie, and refuse to disappear.
