As they step up their preparations for the eagerly awaited AFCON semi-final match against host country Morocco, the Super Eagles team trained behind closed doors in Rabat on Monday.
The decision to close the session to the public, according to Promise Efoghe, the team’s media officer, was made so that head coach Eric Chelle could carry out in-depth tactical work away from prying eyes.
The training was conducted behind closed doors at the Complexe Mohammed VI in Rabat.
Additionally, Efoghe confirmed that before the team resumes private drills on Tuesday, the first fifteen minutes of the training session will be accessible to the media.
After winning the championship in 2013 and placing second in the previous tournament in Ivory Coast, the Super Eagles are hoping to make it to their second final.
On Wednesday, Morocco and Nigeria will play at Rabat’s Prince Moulay Hassan Stadium.
