The Super Eagles have jumped up to 26th place in the latest FIFA World Ranking released on Monday.
It is a remarkable 12-place jump for the Nigeria national team.
Eric Chelle’s men climbed from 38th following an impressive outing at the 2025 AFCON in Morocco, where they finished third overall.
The Super Eagles are now the third-best team in Africa, behind AFCON winners Senegal, ranked 12th globally, and Morocco, placed eighth in the world.
Algeria and Egypt occupy fourth and fifth positions, respectively on the African ranking.
Meanwhile, Spain, Argentina, France, England, Brazil, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Croatia make up the world’s top 10 teams.
