Presidential aide Daniel Bwala has claimed there is a hidden plan to create a Peter Obi-Rabiu Kwankwaso presidential ticket for 2027, but asserted it will not materialize within the ADC coalition.
Speaking in an interview from 25:30 with Channels TV, Bwala positioned himself as having accurately predicted Obi’s political movements. “Somebody is packaging Peter Obi with Kwankwaso. And it is not going to be in ADC. I am a Nostradamus in politics. I told Nigerians that Peter Obi was going to leave Labour Party. When I said it, the Obidients were shouting heaven and earth. He left them. I told them he’s going to try to go to ADC because they set a trap and gave him the impression he will become vice president,” he said.
The presidential aide suggested that Obi’s exploration of the ADC was based on false promises regarding the vice-presidential slot, which he discovered was not actually available upon closer examination.
Bwala highlighted what he characterized as Obi’s political inconsistency, recalling his previous condemnation of existing party structures as criminal before joining those same structures. According to the aide, Obi initially denied leaving Labour Party while simultaneously negotiating with other parties.
