Sani Dangwaggo better known as Sani Jaman, the security aide to Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko (representing Sokoto North Senatorial District) has died in Abuja following a brief illness at the age of 58.
Dangwaggo, a retired officer of the Nigeria Police Force who left service in early 2018 with the rank of Inspector, passed away on Saturday at a private hospital in the nation’s capital.
In a statement released through his media aide, Bashar Abubakar, Senator Wamakko said he was deeply shocked and saddened by the loss, praising the late aide for his loyalty, discipline, and professionalism throughout years of dedicated service. He described Dangwaggo as a dependable member of his security team.
The senator also prayed for Allah’s forgiveness for the deceased and asked that his family be granted strength and comfort during this difficult time.
Dangwaggo is survived by two wives, seven children, and his elderly mother, Hajiya Safiya. Funeral arrangements, including the date for Muslim prayers, are expected to be announced in the coming days.
