The Owo Local Government Area Students’ Union (OLGASU) National Body paid a courtesy visit to the Elemure of Emure-Ile Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Bankole Adeyefa II, as part of it's engagement with key stakeholders within Owo Local Government Area. The visit was aimed at strengthening the relationship between the union and traditional institutions for the development of students across the local government.
During the visit, the OLGASU President addressed His Royal Majesty and his council of chiefs, emphasizing the importance of student participation in union activities. He appealed to the monarch to encourage sons and daughters of Emure-Ile in various institutions to identify with and actively participate in OLGASU, in order to promote unity and effective representation.
In his response, His Royal Majesty, Oba Bankole Adeyefa II, congratulated the newly elected leadership and charged them to expand the scope of the union. He encouraged the executives to revive inactive chapters, strengthen existing ones, and reach out to past presidents and leaders of the union for guidance and support toward sustainable growth.
The royal father also offered prayers for peace, unity, and progress of OLGASU, assuring the union of his goodwill and continuous support. The visit concluded on a positive note, reinforcing mutual commitment to the advancement and welfare of students in Owo Local Government Area.
