The controversy followed Lemon’s livestream coverage from Cities Church, where demonstrators interrupted Sunday worship to protest the presence of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in the state. The protesters also demanded justice for Renee Good, who was reportedly killed during a recent federal enforcement operation.
Reacting on X (formerly Twitter), Nicki Minaj reposted a critical tweet aimed at Lemon and went further with a string of explosive comments, accusing him of bias and questioning his journalistic intent.
