A pastor has made headlines after reportedly asking several members of his church to leave, telling them to find jobs and be productive.
Eyewitnesses said the congregants repeatedly said, “He has pursued us out of the church. Na G.O you be, you no be God,” expressing frustration over being asked to take responsibility for their livelihoods.

The pastor’s response emphasised that faith alone is not a substitute for hard work, and that spiritual guidance must be paired with personal effort.
Many described the pastor’s actions as tough but necessary, highlighting a growing concern that parts of society rely too heavily on faith while neglecting personal responsibility.
The incident has sparked widespread discussion about the balance between spiritual devotion and practical effort in modern Nigerian churches.
