The Anambra State Police Command has named Ifesinachi Ezeolu, a 28-year-old man, as the person responsible for the violent actions linked to the Agaba Awgbu masquerade.
Police said they respect culture and tradition but made it clear that no masquerade or cultural event has the right to attack, threaten, or disturb the public.
The Command added that investigations are still ongoing to find other people involved. They also assured residents that they are working with community leaders to make sure cultural activities remain peaceful and everyone stays safe.
