‎“Imagine paying a full-time pastor just N80k” — RCCG member sparks outrage online

‎An RCCG member, Ucee Harmony, has triggered heated debate after revealing what he claims is the monthly salary of a zonal pastor in Abuja.

‎According to Ucee, the pastor disclosed during a church testimony that he earns ₦80,000 per month — a figure Ucee described as grossly inadequate for a married, full-time pastor raising a family in Abuja.

‎He questioned why pastors are treated like employees, required to remit tithes, offerings, and all church income to headquarters, only to receive a fixed salary at month-end.
‎Ucee went further, criticizing what he sees as excessive central control, arguing that the system makes the church operate more like a business than a spiritual institution.

‎“If pastors are truly called by God, why are they paid peanuts like staff?” he asked.

‎The post has since divided opinions online — with many calling for transparency in church finances, while others defend the structure of large ministries.
