Nigeria’s Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has stirred reactions after declaring that his influence has grown “ten times” bigger than when he was governor.
Speaking to youths and residents of Ngbo, his home community in Ebonyi State, Umahi urged unity and warned against what he described as “noise makers,” insisting that his focus remains delivering tangible development.
🗣️ “My capacity is like ten times when I was governor. I’m very, very dangerous now. Let nobody fall on me because the cost is very dangerous.”
The former Ebonyi governor reassured the people that he still sees himself as one of them, repeatedly engaging the crowd with “Nnoo nu o?” (“Are you there?”) to drive home his message.
Umahi called on prominent sons and daughters of Ngbo to close ranks and work together, promising access and solutions:
“Whatever is their need, they will have it done.”
He also revealed that the Umahi family is financially empowered and willing to go above and beyond in supporting community projects.
