A Nigerian woman has set social media on fire after sharing her blunt advice for single ladies struggling to find marriage-ready men.
The post, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @Janefrances_Al, quickly went viral and triggered intense conversations about marriage, sacrifice, and modern-day expectations.
“Finding a husband is not hard”
According to her, men are everywhere and easy to get — the real problem, she says, is that women of this generation are too selective.
She argued that women should:
👌Have a thriving career
👌Be financially independent
👌Choose a man and fully take care of him
👌Embrace traditional wife duties without complaints
👌Tolerance Over Confrontation
In one of the most controversial parts of her message, she advised women to avoid confrontation even if their husbands show interest in other women. Her suggestion? Stay calm, turn a blind eye, or even befriend the other women — all in the name of peace and marriage.
“Our mothers endured worse”
She concluded by stating that many women today expect better treatment than what their mothers and aunts endured, insisting that sacrifice and tolerance are key ingredients for securing and keeping a husband.
In her words:
“Husband is very easy to get. It is the girls of these days who are being picky.
Have a thriving career, choose a man, house him, feed him, take care of him, and perform your duties as a wife.
When he starts wandering, don’t complain. Don’t argue. Turn a blind eye.
Men are easy to get. This generation of women just thinks they deserve better than what their mothers and aunts endured with grace.”
Social media is divided.
Some agree with her “hard truth,” while many others strongly disagree, calling her views outdated and dångerous.
