The Anambra State Government has rolled out 15 entrepreneurial subjects into the Junior Secondary School (JSS) curriculum, marking a bold step toward practical, skills-based education.
According to the state government, the newly introduced subjects include solar installation, garment making, GSM repairs, agriculture, plumbing, digital literacy, and robotics, among others. The initiative is designed to help students develop hands-on skills early while nurturing an entrepreneurial mindset.
Officials say the move is part of a broader strategy to align education with 21st-century demands, ensuring students are not only academically grounded but also equipped with real-world, income-generating skills that boost employability and innovation.
