Popular Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye has raised alarm over the alleged piracy of her movie, accusing a man identified as Emmanuel Davis of illegally uploading her work on YouTube.
In an emotional video shared online, the actress alleged that the unauthorised upload led to her original movie being demonetised, causing her serious mental, physical, and financial strain, especially after what she described as a very stressful week.
Bimbo also accused the same individual of taking a song specially made for her by singer Ugochi, uploading it on streaming platforms, and claiming ownership of the track. According to her, the song was deliberately never officially released by the singer to avoid piracy-related issues.
Clearly distressed, the actress warned the alleged offender to take down the content and resolve the monetisation problem within one hour, stating that she wanted the incident publicly documented.
🗣️ “These are products of my hard work,” Bimbo said, describing the alleged actions as unfair, damaging, and deeply discouraging to creatives.
