2027: Engineer Kayode Ijalana lauds Governor Aiyedatiwa, affirms Party unity and due Process

 
Engineer Kayode Ijalana has commended the Governor of Ondo State, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his recent clarification that he has not endorsed any aspirant for the 2027 elections, describing the statement as timely and reassuring for stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to Engineer Ijalana, the Governor’s position reinforces the core values that bind the APC together, including fairness, internal democracy, discipline, and unity.

He noted that the process of selecting candidates within the party must remain collective, inclusive, and guided by party leadership. He added that the exploration of consensus, when transparently pursued, has the potential to strengthen cohesion and position the party effectively for future elections, while reflecting the will and confidence of party stakeholders.

Engineer Ijalana also commended the emphasis placed on electronic membership registration and grassroots mobilisation, describing it as critical to the growth and long-term strength of the party. He stressed that a strong and successful party is built from the ground up, with sustained engagement at the ward and local government levels.

He further observed that Ondo State is at an important political moment that calls for unity of purpose, respect for party discipline, and a shared commitment to the development and progress of the people.

Engineer Kayode Ijalana reaffirmed his commitment to the ideals of the APC and expressed confidence in the party’s processes, pledging to continue working with party leaders and members in the collective interest of strengthening the party and advancing Ondo State.
