Nigeria and the global Christian community are mourning the passing of Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, a revered international evangelist and founder of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, who went to be with the Lord on October 6, 2025, at the age of 80.
In a statement titled “Glorious Transition,” the family described him as “a faithful soldier of the cross” who dedicated over six decades to fiery evangelism, teaching, and prophetic ministry, transforming countless lives within and beyond Nigeria.
A spiritual general, mentor, and pillar of faith, Rev. Ukpai’s legacy of unwavering devotion, impactful ministry, and service to humanity remains an enduring testimony to the power and love of God.
While his passing leaves a void, many take solace in knowing that he has finished his race in faith and now rests in eternal glory.
