A 30-year-old Nigerian man has been arrested in Bucharest, Romania, over allegations of rape and attempted murder involving a sex worker.

What Happened
According to investigators, the incident occurred on September 8, 2025, when the accused visited a residence in Sector 6, Bucharest, to engage the services of a prostitute.
However, after the woman discovered that he had no money to pay upfront, she asked him to leave. Reports state that the man refused and allegedly:
Grabbed her by the throat and hands
Forced her onto the bed and raped her
Destroyed her mobile phone by smashing it on the floor
The woman was said to have narrowly escaped more harm after the violent confrontation.
