1. The Vehicle License : Renewable yearly
2. The Proff of vehicle ownership certificate : also renewable yearly for most Nigerian states and the FCT.
3. Vehicle test report and Road Worthiness certificate: this is also renewable every 3 months or yearly depending on what the individual paid for. Usually, the certificate covers the test report.
4. Insurance certificate : the minimum acceptable is a 3rd Party insurance.
5. General motor receipt /Number plate allocation paper: this is the document issued at the point of vehicle registration / number plate issuance. Where an individual is using a vehicle that has been previously registered, the individual ought to make sure to arm themselves with this document in addition to a proof of purchase, change of ownership agreement, a police extract and court affidavit.
6. Proof of purchase/Agreement: for used vehicles, a proof of purchase or transfer of ownership agreement is usually demanded by officers on the highway. Additionally, a police crime diary extract, and a court affidavit is usually demanded in company of the agreement. Other times, the change of ownership certificate issued by the licensing Office ought to suffice.

15: Driver's license or learner's permit where individual is carrying a learners logo. For the learner, they must be in company of an instructor.
