A Nigerian woman who works as an ashewo has caused a stir after attending a dating show to seek a God-fearing man who, according to her, can “change” her and make her stop what she does.
The revelation was contained in a post shared on X, formerly Twitter, by user @Olamide0fficial, who documented the moment the woman openly revealed her profession as a nightwålker.
In her words: “I am an ashewo, I am not saying that I am not an ashewo. I am looking for someone to change me.”
As she made this statement to the men present at the dating show, one of them bluntly responded: “I am a God-fearing man but I don’t need you.”
Despite his rejection, the woman stood her ground, maintaining that what she truly needed in a man was someone who could guide her away from her current lifestyle.
