The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has reportedly invited Yvonne Nana Afriyie Opare, the Managing Director of the Ghana Airport Company Limited (GACL) for questioning.
Ghanaian investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni, disclosed this on his Facebook page.
He stated that Yvonne Nana Afriyie Opare will appear before the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, on Monday, August 4, 2025.
This is as a result of the OSP investigations into alleged procurement breaches involving the award of a sole-sourced contract to a private firm, which is allegedly owned by the proprietor of Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Ltd.
The OSP is investigating whether the contract was awarded without proper board approval and in violation of procurement procedures.
Yvonne Nana Afriyie Opare's invitation comes a few days after renowned Ghanaian journalist, Paul Adom-Otchere, was invited and subsequently detained by the Special Prosecutor on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
