Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has met with Brazil's Vice President, Geraldo Alckmin, to explore potential partnerships in agro-allied development. The meeting, held during the Brazil-Nigeria Business Forum, focused on leveraging Brazil's expertise in agricultural innovations to modernize Niger State's agriculture.
Governor Bago highlighted the state's vast landmass and potential for large-scale food production, emphasizing the need for technological advancements and research to achieve food security and export competitiveness. He expressed interest in adapting Brazil's successful agricultural model to boost productivity and create jobs.
The meeting marks a step towards attracting international partnerships and positioning Niger State as a leader in Nigeria's food revolution. The Governor was accompanied by Senator Sani Musa and Executive Chairman of Niger Foods LTD, Chief Sammy Adigun.
