A Nigerian woman based in the United Kingdom has sparked reactions online after responding to a question about whether it is wrong for a hardworking Nigerian man to fall in love with a woman living abroad.
The woman argued that some men expect traditional relationship roles while also wanting women to contribute equally to modern financial responsibilities.
In her words, She said:
“Yes, it’s a crime. You want a traditional wife, but you don’t want to pay the modern bills. You want us to split the bills here in the UK, yet you also want 50% of my income just because you brought me here. I never begged or forced you to bring me to the UK in the first place, or you can return back to Nigeria.”
