CASABLANCA, Morocco – Several Super Falcons players have reportedly raised concerns over an alleged theft incident at the team’s hotel in Casablanca, Morocco, where cash was said to have gone missing from their rooms.
The players reportedly discovered that money had been taken from their wallets and personal belongings while they were away from their rooms.
Among those allegedly affected are Esther Okoronkwo, who reportedly lost $700; Rasheedat Ajibade, $200; Osinachi Ohale, $100; Joy Omewa, $120; and Halimatu Ayinde, $100.
The total amount reportedly missing from the affected players is $1,220.
The Super Falcons are staying at the Marriott Hotel in Casablanca as they prepare for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations.
The Nigeria Football Federation has yet to issue an official statement confirming the alleged theft or whether an investigation has been launched.
Nigeria, the defending champions, are expected to travel to Rabat for their opening match against Malawi. The Super Falcons are in Group C alongside Zambia and Egypt.
