A university lecturer has become the subject of widespread online discussion after a video showed him pleading for mercy while being fl0gged by the husband of a married female student who accused him of demanding s£x in exchange for approving her academic project.

The lecturer, who serves as the Head of the Department of History and International Studies at Northwest University (formerly Yusuf Maitama University) and is also a visiting lecturer at Mariam Abacha American Nigerian University (MAAUN), is accused of repeatedly delaying the approval of the student's project for about two years because she allegedly refused his advances.

According to the reports, the woman later informed her husband about the alleged hara$$ment, and together they reportedly devised a plan to expose the lecturer.

Sources who claimed to have seen the alleged conversations between the lecturer and the student said he arranged to meet her for s£x shortly after Maghrib prayers.

However, when he reportedly arrived at the agreed location expecting to meet the woman, he was instead confronted by her husband and several others. He was allegedly b£@t before being handed over to the police for further investigation.
