"Don't rush into marriage" — Wealthy married woman's advice sparks debate online

A lady has sparked conversations on social media after revealing the unexpected marriage advice she received from a wealthy married woman during a recent visit.

According to the lady, the woman lives a luxurious lifestyle, owning a duplex registered in her name and high-end vehicles, including a G-Wagon, Lexus, and Mercedes-Benz. Despite her financial success, she appeared stressed after her nanny failed to show up for work.

The visitor recounted that the woman had to personally take her children to school because the nanny had been absent for two days.

During their conversation, the woman reportedly advised her:

“Ronke, don’t rush into marriage. There’s nothing inside marriage. If I could go back, I’d enjoy my life more before getting married.”

The remark reportedly caught the lady by surprise, given the woman's seemingly comfortable lifestyle.

Reacting to the advice, she wrote:

“All that was going through my mind was: Aunty, I don’t need this advice. Let’s just swap roles for one day.”

The post has since gone viral, prompting mixed reactions online. While some agreed that marriage comes with responsibilities that outsiders often overlook, others argued that financial comfort does not necessarily translate to emotional fulfillment or happiness.

The discussion has reignited conversations about the realities of marriage, work-life balance, and the difference between outward appearances and personal experiences.
