Lady cries out, alleges she was beaten and verbally abused by police over driver’s license, sparking outrage online

“Because of driver’s license today, I was arrested by Ekpan Police Station in Warri. This is not the first time you people are harassing someone to the extent that you hit me because of driver’s license. And because I retaliated, you people beat me.

You beat me and started videoing me, but you didn’t video the part where you h!t me first. All I did was ask a police officer, “Are you mad?” and then you started beating me because of driver’s license. They handcuffed me because of driver’s license.

This is not the first time you people are harassing me, but today you went overboard. This is not the first time you people are harassing me in Warri. You held me from 7 till 11. You handcuffed me, put my hands on the floor, and started calling me ashawo because I was driving my mother’s car.

You called me ashawo, said I had a Yah00 boyfriend. I didn’t tell you people to be unfortunate, but this harassment today is too much. You people will continue to arrest me, because I will not respect any of you on that road again.
