Another political thunder hit Aiyedatiwa’s camp as another SSA resigned

Hon. Barr. Fola Olasehinde-Vicente has resigned her appointment as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Diaspora Matters to the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.

In a formal resignation letter dated February 27, 2026, and addressed to the governor, Olasehinde-Vicente said her decision takes immediate effect.

“I write with profound respect and a great sense of responsibility to formally tender my resignation as Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters to the Governor of Ondo State effective today 27th February, 2026,” she stated.

The former aide expressed appreciation to Governor Aiyedatiwa for the opportunity to serve in his administration, noting that the role enabled her to contribute meaningfully to the welfare and engagement of Ondo indigenes in the diaspora.

Olasehinde-Vicente, who described herself as the first-ever elected female member of the Ondo State House of Assembly, reaffirmed her commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC). She pledged to remain a loyal and dedicated member of the ruling party.

“I remain committed to our great party, the APC… and will continue to serve as a dedicated and loyal party member,” she wrote.

While noting that the decision was not made lightly, the former SSA said she believes it is time to focus on the next phase of her political and professional career.
