Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose, has claimed that Nyesom Wike and Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara cannot deliver Rivers State for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections without election manipulation.
Fayose made the statement in a video shared on Facebook, where he spoke on the political crisis currently rocking Rivers State. According to him, neither Wike nor Fubara has enough grassroots support to win the state in a free and fair election.
He said only electoral bodies and security agencies could influence such a win, not the two political leaders. Fayose also alleged that the ongoing conflict between Wike and Fubara is about control of state resources, not the interest of Rivers people.
He further claimed that the presence of Labour Party’s Peter Obi in the 2027 presidential race would reduce the chances of the APC in Rivers State. Fayose dismissed recent political tours by both camps, saying they lack real voter backing.
