A United States Congressman, Riley Moore, has said President Donald Trump is fully committed to defending Christians in Nigeria.
Moore made this known in a post on his verified X (Twitter) account on Friday. He was reacting to Trump’s recent warning that the US may carry out more military strikes if attacks on Christian communities in Nigeria continue.
According to Moore, President Trump is serious about protecting Christians who are facing persecution in Nigeria.
“President Trump is serious about protecting our brothers and sisters in Christ in Nigeria. Do not test his resolve,” Moore wrote.
Reacting to the post, a Nigerian X user, @HamzatAyodejiO2, said Nigerians welcome genuine international help but warned against any action that could threaten peace or unity in the country. He stressed that Nigeria is a peaceful nation with responsible citizens.
