Police Arrest Armed Robbery Suspects, Recover Firearms in Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested two suspected armed robbers in Lafia following an intelligence‑led operation targeting criminal elements operating in the state. The suspects, Kabiru Isah and Monday Bulus, were on the police wanted list for their alleged involvement in multiple robbery incidents.

The arrests were made late on Saturday night after police received credible intelligence that the suspects were in the Azuba Centre area, allegedly planning another criminal operation. Officers moved swiftly and apprehended the duo before they could carry out their plans.

During the operation, police recovered a G3 rifle without a serial number from the suspects. A follow-up exercise the next day also led to the recovery of a pump-action rifle linked to their alleged criminal activities.

The Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police commended the officers for their professionalism and dedication, urging continued efforts to dismantle criminal networks and ensure public safety. Investigations are ongoing, and the suspects are expected to face court proceedings once inquiries are concluded.
