Nigeria: Land of Billionaires, Home of Millions in Poverty

Let no one tell you that Nigeria is a poor country. The truth is, Nigeria is immensely rich, blessed with abundant natural resources and opportunities. Yet, most Nigerians live in poverty.

The wealth gap is staggering. A tiny few are outrageously wealthy, so much so that their fortune feels like an embarrassment to civilisation. Meanwhile, millions struggle to survive, with roughly one billionaire for every million poor citizens.

Nigeria’s challenge isn’t a lack of riches—it’s how that wealth is shared. The country is one of bottomless resources, yet the majority remain in need, calling for fairer distribution and inclusive development.
