Amid rising political tension in Rivers State, following the impeachment proceedings by members of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Sir Siminalayi Fubara may likely resign as Governor of Rivers State.
A reliable source has it that upon the return of Gov. Sim Fubara to Port Harcourt, following a failed meeting with President Tinubu, Gov. Fubara disclosed to some caucus members of his political family about his resignation.
However, this development did not go well with members of his political family who are strongly persuading him not to take such a decision.
You’ll recall that Gov. Fubara, upon hearing about his impeachment, left the country for Abu Dhabi to meet with President Tinubu, where he is attending the ADSW Summit. But the President declined a meeting with Gov. Fubara, urging him to go back to the FCT Minister and keep to every agreement he signed before him.
