A Nigerian man has been left heartbróken after his wife reportedly walked out of their marriage just five months after the wedding.
In a viral tweet on X (formerly Twitter) shared by his colleague, the man was said to meet his wife when she was in 300 level.
He was deeply in love with her, especially because of her beauty, and spared no expense in taking care of her.
He spent heavily on her lifestyle and even took loans to buy things for her. When it was time for marriage, he went all out, borrowing more money to make sure the wedding matched her looks.
They eventually got married mid last year.
Trouble started when his workplace began owing staff about three months’ salary, and his personal business also slowed down.
As money issues set in, the woman allegedly started giving him attitude. He confided in colleagues, and they advised him to keep trying to make money since he had already set a certain standard from the beginning.
Then came the shock.
One day in December, before the man returned from work, his wife had packed out completely.
She left behind a note that read: “GO AND FIX YOUR BROKE LIFE.”
Since then, the man has been cryíng uncontrollably, not just over the marriage but because he is still repaying the loans he took for the wedding.
