Angola Football Federation is making a strong move to take Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, away from Nigeria.
Reports say Chelle has attracted attention across Africa after his impressive performance with Nigeria at the 2025 AFCON in Morocco, where the Super Eagles played exciting and attacking football.
According to information from local sports sources, Angola is ready to double Chelle’s current salary to convince him to leave Nigeria.
The Malian coach is currently earning about $50,000 monthly with Nigeria and still has one year left on his contract with the NFF. Angola is reportedly offering him $100,000 per month to become their new head coach.
Angola’s national team, Palancas Negras, had a disappointing AFCON 2025 campaign after crashing out in the group stage, and they now want a top coach to rebuild the team.
