In a blistering Facebook post, APC chieftain Joe Igbokwe has predicted that the current legislative term will be the last for Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, accusing the lawmaker of supporting violence in the South East.
Igbokwe’s comments follow recent statements by Abaribe, who criticized the current administration and vowed never to join the APC.
Igbokwe labeled Abaribe an “IPOB bandit ethnic bigot and a sponsor of evil in the SE,” claiming the Senator has maintained a “grave silence” over the killings and destruction that have plagued the South East for the last 15 years.
Specifically, Igbokwe alleged that Abaribe serves as a paternal figure and sponsor for various militant groups, stating:
“He is IPOB, UGM, ESN and BDF sponsor and father. He has been one of the supporters of the butchers of South East for nearly 15 years. Our people were slaughtered like goats and he kept quiet,”.
The APC chieftain warned that Abaribe’s ambitions for the 2027 Senate race would be thwarted by the spirits of those killed during the regional unrest. Igbokwe asserted:
“This is your last chance in the Senate after this dispensation… You cannot continue to go to the Senate matching on the blood of our people. The blood of the hundreds of our people killed will fight you to the end,”.
Igbokwe urged his followers not to support Abaribe, whom he described as an “elder for nothing” whose political career is nearing its end.
