A group of individuals identified as Fulani herdsmen have been apprehended and are now in police custody after being discovered camped in a bush surrounding the Sabo area of Abeokuta.
Security sources confirm that the group had established a hidden camp in the vicinity without the knowledge of residents, raising serious concerns within the community.
The suspects were successfully detained yesterday and have since been transferred to the Ogun State Police Headquarters in Eleweran for a comprehensive investigation.
"The suspects have been detained by the police, and a full-scale investigation is currently ongoing to determine their activities and intentions in the area," a senior police officer stated.
