President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced significant breakthroughs in ongoing security operations across the country, confirming the successful rescue of all 38 abducted worshippers from CAC Church, Eruku, in Kwara State.
The President also stated that 51 of the abducted students from the Catholic School in Niger State have been safely recovered, following intensified efforts by security agencies.
In an official statement, President Tinubu revealed that he cancelled his scheduled trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa to personally oversee and coordinate national security operations. He noted that he has been receiving continuous updates from security commanders at the frontline, ensuring swift responses to emerging threats.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to public safety, the President declared that every Nigerian has the right to security, regardless of location, adding that his government will not relent until peace and safety are fully restored across all states.
“Let me be clear: I will not relent. Every Nigerian, in every state, has the right to safety and under my watch, we will secure this nation and protect our people,” the President said.
President Tinubu commended security forces for their dedication and urged citizens to remain calm and cooperative as the government intensifies nationwide security operations.
