Over one hundred indigenes of Okitipupa Local Government benefitted from a major empowerment programme on Wednesday as the Government Field in Okitipupa was filled with residents eager to witness the impactful gesture of the Ojamami Foundation, led by Hon. Ojamami Falana Oyewole. The event marked a significant step in the ongoing efforts to reduce poverty and improve livelihoods across the community.
Speaking at the programme, the organiser, Hon. Ogunyemi stressed that the Ojamami Foundation was established to complement government efforts in poverty eradication.
He noted that millions of naira had been invested into this initiative to ensure that residents of Okitipupa have access to opportunities that can improve their living conditions. He added that it is time for everyone in the community to join hands in uplifting one another and urged the beneficiaries to use the items they received responsibly and productively.
Hon. Oyewole Ojamami, the convener of the programme and founder of the foundation, expressed gratitude to God for the favour in his life, stating that this blessing fuels his desire to give back to the society that shaped him.
He explained that he deliberately planned the empowerment ahead of the festive period to support families, boost small-scale businesses and provide relief during a period when financial burdens tend to increase.
