Lagos: Aruwe Inspects Mushin Health Centres to Mark 100 Days in Office

As part of activities marking his first 100 days in office, the Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Hon. Tunbosun Haruna Aruwe, has carried out an inspection visit to the Omodigbo Mushin Primary Health Centre and the Alves Primary Health Centre to assess the state of facilities and ongoing reconstruction works.

During the inspection, Hon. Aruwe reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to ensuring accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare services for all residents of Mushin. He engaged with on-site engineers to discuss the pace of work and timelines for completion, stressing the importance of delivering the facilities promptly for public use.

The Executive Chairman emphasized the need for a clean, efficient, and people-friendly healthcare environment, noting that healthcare delivery remains one of the cardinal priorities of his administration. He added that plans are underway to upgrade existing health facilities, improve staff welfare, and ensure adequate supply of essential drugs across all health centres in the Local Government.

The Council’s Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Kayode Odufuwa, commended Hon. Aruwe for his proactive and visionary leadership, describing his continuous involvement in departmental oversight as a true reflection of service to humanity.

"Health is wealth, and we are determined to ensure that every resident of Mushin has access to quality healthcare services right at their doorstep,” Hon. Aruwe stated.

In addition to the reconstruction works, the Mushin Health Centres are also scheduled for paving with interlocking stones, as part of the council’s ongoing efforts to improve accessibility, sanitation, and aesthetics within the health facilities.

Residents and health personnel expressed gratitude to Hon. Aruwe for his hands-on approach and commitment to grassroots development, noting that his leadership has already begun yielding visible improvements across the health sector in Mushin.
