Mavin Records boss and ace music producer, Don Jazzy, has revealed why he’s still hesitant about marriage despite his success and fame.
Speaking during an interview with HabbyFX on YouTube, the 42-year-old shared deep insights about love, marriage, and personal growth, admitting he still battles with fear of commitment and vulnerability.
Don Jazzy, who got married in 2003 and divørced two years later, said that experience made him more cautious about long-term relationships.
> “There are good ones and bad ones. My parents were madly in love before my mom died. We see examples like that that make you believe in love and crave it,” he said.
On why he’s still single, he explained that personal growth and peace of mind now mean more to him than societal expectations.
> “You see all these bad relationship breakups on social media — people washing dirty laundry in public — it scares me. You try to be vulnerable with one person, and it can backfire. I’m still waiting for God’s timing.”
He also admitted that the financial risks of marriage play a role in his hesitation.
> “Some men lose half of what they worked for after divørce. All those things used to scare me. The money I have amassed is for my generation.”
Still, Don Jazzy says he hasn’t given up on love entirely:
> “I’ve dated before. Right now, I’m single — na fear, but God’s time is the best. I just want the right person. I’m not even sure if I’m the right person for somebody’s daughter.” ❤️
