The Chief Imam of Ado Ekiti , Sheik Jamiu Kewulere has called on members of the Ewi in Council, leaders of Ado Ekiti and other residents to continue to support Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe for the progress and development of the town.
The Chief Imam who is the President General, League of Imams and Alfas in southwest States including Delta and Edo states made the call during a jumat service held at the Ado Ekiti Central Mosque to appreciate Allah on behalf of Oba Adejugbe for witness 80th birthday and 35 years on the throne.
Sheik kewulere who attributed the peaceful coexistence in the State capital to the leadership style of Oba Adejugbe said more support from stakeholders would further strengthen the peace and promote community harmony .
In his appreciation, the celebrant, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe thanked God’s for his mercy so far and appreciated residents of the State capital for their support since he assumed the throne of his forefathers.
In separate interviews, wife of the Monarch, Eyesorun Abosede Adejugbe and the Secretary to Ekiti state government, Alhaja Habitat Adubiaro confirmed that the reign of Oba Adejugbe has brought development to the town in many ways.
The monarch donated two million naira for the mosque as appreciation to Allah for protecting him to witness his 80th birthday in good and sound health.
