Jonathan: “Abandoning Old Projects Is a Big Waste in Governance”

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has criticized governors who stop or abandon projects started by their predecessors, calling it a major waste in governance across Nigeria.

Jonathan made this statement while commissioning the Best Western Plus Hotel in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, on Wednesday.

He said many of the projects he began as Bayelsa State governor were left unfinished by later governments.

According to him, his administration had planned big hotel projects to promote tourism and attract investors, but most were abandoned.

Jonathan explained that such actions prevent economic growth, noting that tourism helps local businesses and brings foreign money into the state.
