Reports say Dangote Refinery has quietly increased the pump price of petrol to ₦950 per litre at MRS filling stations in Abuja.
This price hike comes despite the refinery’s huge 650,000-barrel-per-day capacity, the CNG truck distribution project, and the Naira-for-Crude deal with the Nigerian government.
Just two days earlier, on October 14, MRS stations in Kubwa and Lugbe Expressway sold petrol for ₦851 per litre, but by October 16, the price jumped by ₦100.
Other Dangote Refinery partners like Ardova and Optima have also adjusted their pump prices to match.
According to a manager at one MRS station, the wholesale price from the refinery recently went up due to supply shortages.
