A Nigerian POS agent has regained her freedom after reportedly spending two years in prìson for unknowingly rendering service to suspected kìdnãppers who used her machine to withdraw ransõm money.
The story was shared on TikTok by user @liousvee_ml, who detailed how the woman was randomly approached by kìdnãppers who used her POS terminal to withdraw between N500,000 and N600,000 money that was allegedly collected from their vìctims as ransõm.
Despite having no knowledge of the crìme, the woman was arrêsted and detained, and remained in prisõn for two years even after the actual kìdnãppers were caught and jaÃled.
A video accompanying the post shows the woman walking out of prisõn, visibly emotional, and muttering, “I sùffer o,” in deep relief.
The video description read: “This lady is an officer of the Boys Brigade and a POS operator who got implicated by a kidnãpper for what she knows nothing about.”
‘Her machine was used to withdraw random N500k to N600k, and she has been in prisõn for 2 years now.”
It continued: “The funniest part is, the kidnãpper was caught and put in prisõn as well, yet they refused to release her until now. GOD DID. What am I saying please, government, let’s help the masses.”
“Just because most people are not financially stable doesn’t mean they should suffer unjustly. If she were someone with influence, she wouldn’t have spent more than a week in custody.”
