Over 500 unknown gunmen in Orsu LGA, Imo State have reportedly surrendered their arms to the Imo State Government after accepting the government's amnesty offer.
According to reports, Imo state government, pleaded with others still hiding in the bush to come out, surrender their weapons, and embrace the amnesty and rehabilitation program.
The Imo State Government says the move is part of efforts to restore peace and reintegrate repentant fighters back into society. The surrendered gunmen are expected to undergo rehabilitation and will soon be reintegrated into the community.
