The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), through its We Care Ministry, honored the top graduating students of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) School for the Blind in Jabi, Abuja, with awards recognizing their academic excellence. At the event, Godwin Lazarus, the overall best graduating student, received a brand-new laptop, while Aishat Isah and Alfred Yahaya, the second and third best, received cash prizes of ₦100,000 and ₦50,000, respectively.
In addition, all graduates were presented with digital walking aids equipped with sensors to enhance their mobility and safety. Speaking on behalf of MFM’s General Overseer, Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, the Senior Regional Overseer, Pastor Edwin Etomi, emphasized the church’s commitment to supporting the less privileged in line with James 1:27, highlighting MFM’s ongoing investment in education and humanitarian aid, regardless of religion or tribe.
Etomi noted that Dr. Olukoya and his wife, Dr. (Mrs.) Folashade Olukoya, have consistently supported education through scholarships and awards, helping youths achieve their dreams. Dr. Olukoya’s philanthropic work has earned him multiple honors, including being named among the 100 most reputable Africans for his impact on community development.
The We Care Ministry leaders, Sister Joy Uno and Brother Collins Nwachukwu, described their mission as an outreach arm focused on evangelism and providing for the needy. Their activities include feeding inmates in correctional facilities, helping released prisoners reintegrate, and supporting orphans, widows, and physically challenged individuals.
In response, Head Teacher Hafsat Umar Isah expressed gratitude to MFM for its ongoing support, with parents and students commending the church’s compassion and generosity.
