‎Man brands Big Brother Naija ‘haram’, vows to petition for permanent ban in Nigeria


‎A Nigerian man has vowed to file a petition seeking the permanent ban of the popular reality TV show, “Big Brother Naija” in Nigeria, calls it Haram.
‎This declaration was made in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @Arewa_Source, who described the show as “Haram,” meaning forbidden under Islamic law.
‎He wrote: “Big Brother Naija is Haram and I will be sending in a petition to get it permanently banned in Nigeria.”
‎His statement comes just days after the launch of the highly anticipated Season 10 of the reality show, which introduced 29 housemates 15 female and 14 male.
‎Following the post, many social media users took to the comment section to share mixed reactions, sparking debate over morality, entertainment, and freedom of expression in Nigeria.
