Wike Alleges Amaechi’s Wife Got N4bn Monthly from NDDC

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has claimed that Judith Amaechi, wife of former Transportation Minister Rotimi Amaechi, received a monthly sum of N4 billion from the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) during ex-President Muhammadu Buhari's tenure.

During an interview broadcast on Channels Television on Friday, Wike made the allegation.

He claimed that the funds, supposedly designated for training women in the Niger Delta, were repeatedly channeled to Amaechi's wife during Buhari's presidency. This has raised concerns about transparency and the utilization of public resources.

Wike confidently stated, "I'm informing you with certainty that every month, Amaechi's wife received N4 billion supposedly for training Niger Delta women." He further challenged, "I urge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to release the NDDC forensic audit. If it is found false, I will step down as FCT minister immediately."

At the time of this report, neither Amaechi nor the NDDC has officially responded to the claims.
